9th August 2011

Just got back from my volunteering duty at Shelter Home. Today was my frst duty in Shelter and I will be going on volunteering duty at Shelter for the entire sem once every week. My team members are pretty nice people so I guess this volunteering programme would be an enjoyable one. =)

Shelter Home.

Joined this volunteering programme through MUVP (Monash University Volunteering Program). At least now I have 2 useful activities to keep me busy this semester. My volunteering duty and my Jazz dance class. I guess this is a better way to spend my Tuesday morning in Shelter Home than to sleep in.

Was pretty excited this morning to go on duty. Woke up at 6.30am and reached uni by 8am. Had to go to the head office for briefing and registering etc as this is our first visit there. And ended up doing some admin work in the head office for today. So no kids today cause we didn't have time to visit their homes.

This is my third volunteering duty ever. Been to Rumah Hope when I was in Form 4 & also to SPCA back in my college time at TCSH. And one thing that's definite. I rather take care of kids than animals! Lolx.

Anyway, hope I would make a difference by providing some of my assistance to those in need.
